1st Day of School

Here we go, 1st grade! I am so excited for my girl, she was totally ready! It was really nice that Chris joined us this morning with school starting on a Monday this year, he had an easier time and helped me by getting Porter's breakfast while I was still blow drying my hair!

Porter is looping with about 85% of her classmates and of course the fabulous Miss. Maddox! We had fun giving out the cards I had made for the staff at the school. And unbenounced to her, Porter has one waiting in her lunch box! She is too cute and I know this year she is just going to explode with her reading.... she is just right there! I am so excited for her. Well off to work, I have been instructed to wear my running shoes, so all you girls that took off work for 1st day of school..... the UPS and Fed Ex men are going to keep us busy today!

Look What She Did WHile I was Away!!!

While I was gone at the Stolen Moments retreat with the gals from The Crafty Scrapper this weekend, look at what my little one created all by herself! Quite the budding "Scrap Artiste"! If I do say so myself! She picked out the items herself while she worked with me at TCS on Friday. Guess she felt like she needed some compensation for all she had done! We are off to do some stamping!

mucky muck

We went out to Bardwell Lake today to hang out with Caroline and the kids for a few hours. The girls were totally grossing me out rubbing the bottom of the lake on their legs and arms ; talking about how good the mucky muck felt good and made their skin smooth. Funniest part is when we got their M was worried about her hair getting tangled by the lake water and by the time we left she was rubbing the bottom of the lake on her like a Spa treatment!!!

Off to Camp

Well the time has come and Porter was off to her 1st Girl Scout Camp today! I was really concerned about the preparation and excited about having some time by myself; but by 5:00 today I started missing her saying Mama, Mama, Mama! By 9:00 I called to check on her.

As of late I have not heard back but hope I get an update in the morning. I know some times she drives me nuts but who could not miss this cute girl!!!! But I am looking forward to a full day of scrapbooking tomorow and watching whatever I want with out worrying, oh.... and did I mention SLEEPING IN!!!!! Woo HOO!

1st Class

Taught my 1st class tonight, we had a few with other issues so it was a one on one with me and Susan. She was so sweet, making this home decor piece for her kids of her grandkids. My camera was acting nuts so unfortunately this is the best picture. Will post my newest project soon!

Another day at Hurricane Harbor

We did it again! Hurricane Harbor again today! Yes we are Crazy but we had a blast, it was an awesome day and she and I both rode the tallest slide in the park! I almost crapped my pants, it was so scary! But she had a blast!
We prolly have had to much sun, but now off to VBS and I am off to Dallas to get Alex, she had some more prob's with her peep's so she is back with us for a while! Say a prayer! :-)

Summer Days!

OK, this is how the summer is going to go huh.... Needless to say, I was yellow! Got my butt kicked by a 7 year old!
We started the day off with cinnamon rolls (love Pillsbury!) then we headed to Hurricane Harbor for about 4 hours. We had a blast, we got there just as the park opened and were able to ride all the rides by the time it got packed and headed out right after it hit 102*.
After a little rest time, paid a few bills, did a load of laundry the off to play Monopoly Jr. now off to do a few summer homework worksheets, dinner and VBS. Hopefully I can get some scrapping in!
