Porter's New Undertaking

So as you can see from my previous post (that was meant for Porter's Blog). Porter has decided she wants to be a "Famous Scrapbooker" and teach the world how to scrapbook. I doing so she asked me to create her a blogspot and has started with two crafty videos, one in which she had me assist and stated that she will be having guest assistants in her video. Now let me tell you this girl is 7 1/2 and has her mind wrapped around the fact that this is her new baby. And if Mommy can stay ahead of the curve, learning how to post on youtube and then post the youtube on the blog we should be doing good. Dad has already suggested a tripod for better image quality.... so this is a work in progress. Please stay tuned and leave her comments! That way she will know she is getting famous!

Her blog site is http://porterscrafts.blogspot .com

Happy Fall Ya'll!!

We have had a buzy week of fall festivities! Fall Festivals, town festivals, Halloween Crops and Scout Halloween Party!

Porter is loving being a Sorceress and can not wait until Halloween night for mommy and her to dress the same (picts to come)! All the while our Brownie troop leader held a kick bootie Halloween party for the scouts!

Honestly the girls had a blast and the decorations were fantabulous! Love the smoke!!!

This is a quick pic Chris snapped of me at dinner after Bob Phillips weekend in downtown Waxahachie. I am suprised I was still awake! We had over a 100 people through the door of the store. Many bewildered and betwixt; trying to figure out what magical land they stumbled across. Many got it!!!! Woo Hoo! others walked away not sure what door they had come into but were glad we had some comfie chairs and .50 cent sodas. All those outside were $3.00!
Anyhoo.... I am so excited about Halloween being here this week; I even went to the gym this morning!

And Porter read the entire Green Eggs and Ham to me at 9:00 at night. 62 pages of a totally happy Mom! Lovin having the tables turned!
Make it a scrappy day!

Fall in Texas

Well I have to say FALL is my favorite season. I love the color pallette, the smells, the crock pot cooking and the anticipation of all the great holidays right in a row!
Texas in summer is only palatable if you are in air conditioning, a pool or at a water park!

From my previous posts you can see we managed that! But now I am soo enjoying this season, my goodness they mentioned probable 70 degree days this week! Can you beleive it? Well my family and I went daytripping on Sunday. I was on the hot persuit for a pumpkin patch for a design team project I am working on for the store.

Here is a great family pic I asked another family in persue of the same thing to assist with!
This is some of the goodness I got. Plus the day before we stopped at the Midlothian Fall Festival anf the United Methodist Church in town, this is what I caught. Happy Kid, huh?

What a Weekend!

Us gal's at The Crafty Scrapper got quite a treat this weekend! Wendy Vecchi came to teach and brought a bunch of the Maya Road DT with her! A few of us on The Crafty Scrapper Design Team made something special for the gals that came in. This is a little lunch pail I made for Aubrey, hope she liked it! And below is the make and take MR did for us at the crop attached to my Halloween jar swap with my funny little scary guy!!! And last but not least after Wendy's first full day of teaching we were all whooped and headed to Carino's for some great grub! Our buddy Megan Darrow from 10 Second Studio joined us too! The next day I got to take Wendy's classes and let me tell you she is a FABULOUS teacher! I will post the project later!

I have been a BAD Blogger!

Well, I have to admit it. I have been bad....very, very bad! I have not blogged in forever. So my October promise to myself is to be a better blogger. I am going to do my best to take random everyday pics and record them here because I have been getting very little scrapping done since I went full-time at The Crafty Scrapper. So here are some pics from today. I was off and it was my craft-cram b4 Wendy and the Maya DT come down tomorrow, also Halloween jar swap due, a homemade B-day card, fall class to finish and MIL birthday present. Needless to say I am bad to stay on track! I took some pics around the house and my messy scrap table, in mid-project!
Here is a craft Porter and I did last week, too cute! Added some $1.99 Target place mats and Waa-La, cute Halloween table.

This is Porter's first year to have tests. We are working on her 3rd, this is what we were doing at 6:45am. Her handwriting is getting much better!

And Happy Birthday Carolyn! My dear friend and 2ndly employer, you are MUCH loved chicka!!!! Look at all this handmade goodness!

So there... I posted, but doubt I will be back b4 the weekend is over. Now I can go to bed with thoughts of T!M swirling in my head. I know he is far removed from me this weekend due to all the fabulousness we will have going at the store, but you are never far from my heart, or scrap table for that matter!

1st Day of School

Here we go, 1st grade! I am so excited for my girl, she was totally ready! It was really nice that Chris joined us this morning with school starting on a Monday this year, he had an easier time and helped me by getting Porter's breakfast while I was still blow drying my hair!
Porter is looping with about 85% of her classmates and of course the fabulous Miss. Maddox! We had fun giving out the cards I had made for the staff at the school. And unbenounced to her, Porter has one waiting in her lunch box! She is too cute and I know this year she is just going to explode with her reading.... she is just right there! I am so excited for her. Well off to work, I have been instructed to wear my running shoes, so all you girls that took off work for 1st day of school..... the UPS and Fed Ex men are going to keep us busy today!
